I hate the idea of AI ruining music. Music for me is sacred. The idea that I could download an app "AI Music" pay $12 a week and have it generate a song in minutes, is one of the saddest moments in working with AI this year.
To demonstrate it, I uploaded a video of what I did this morning.
- I provided a prompt for the lyrics, but it wrote the song. 2 verses, a chorus, and pre-chorus (oddly which came after the chorus)
- I selected Folk and Melancholy
- I asked it to sing like a male, and even gave it some of my voice.
Here is the full song. If this songs get a stupid number of plays on Soundcloud I'll be even more annoyed. Actually which brings me to another point, I could easily upload this to Spotify, and if it was good enough, or annoying enough, I could get paid for it.
Anyone else think this is fundamentally wrong?
